M ai v — meaning ‘she who intoxicates’; the phonetic spelling derived from Maeve.

There’s a magical magnetic pull when you see a person who truly radiates self love. My time in the salon engaging with 1000s of women there was a scenario that began to pique my interest. The ladies receiving an overflow of compliments as they left the salon carried this innate confidence, they were radiating and it was absolutely intoxicating. An effortless energy. During the beginning phases of creating my dream business it was clear 'this feeling’ embodied the heart of my vision. I chose a four letter word to carry my wish for every female, to live in such a state of self love where we are unintentionally magnetic and sincerely intoxicating. Hair grants us an opportunity to set the tone without words, where our style speaks for itself, a frame. It’s simple really, find your own kind of beauty and radiate.

Melissa Hoyle

The Hair Artist.

Hair has always been the conversation. I was fortunate to fall in love with this industry at a young age. Time is a gift and as an artist these years have shaped and refined my eye to view hair as a frame while simultaneously showcasing the art of balance, enhancement and softening one’s face shape along with features. This formula has been the foundation leading my direction and ultimately to my purpose. The majority of my career spent between two luxury salons, one in Charlotte and the other Los Angeles. Where my love to curate styles for The Modern Woman began. Leading in their industries across many platforms I was granted an opportunity to support an inner narrative granting confidence by designing a collection of styles that made them feel and radiate their best, no matter the occasion. Interior Designers, Entertainment Executives, Beauty Editors, Models, PR & Marketing Leaders, Lifestyle Influencers, Physicians, Attorneys, Business & Financial Executives, Photographers, Art Directors. Intimate conversations spent referencing inspiration alongside curating a collection of styles to fit individual personal aesthetics together with lifestyle, unintentionally my passion project was birthed. Opening the possibilities and ways of styling a fresh look, I loved every detail. The magic hit when harmonizing face shape and features while showcasing one’s hair texture. The joy that rippled witnessing one’s confidence beam as we styled step by step, knowing this was different and it was possible to look and feel their best on the daily.

As my career exploded in Los Angeles I found myself daydreaming of creating a life back East, the South. Being raised in North Carolina there is a sweet culture of saying hello as you pass. I missed these subtle qualities, time with loved ones that didn’t have to be squished during “vacation”, not to mention the slow day to day with a balanced workflow. It was official time to take a leap of faith, make the move. Hello Charleston, South Carolina! With an opportunity to return to Los Angeles bimonthly it was an easy decision to say yes. My salon clientele was such a gift and after 3 years of travel every 8 weeks for 10day stents it was time to transition from salon hair to solely bridal. Styling The Bride had been placed on my heart during the beginning years of my career, a knowing when the time was right it would align.

As I traveled exploring this new venture of hair I realized there was a missed opportunity to create a service just for the bride. A personal hair artist focused solely on her. My time in Los Angeles opened the door to possibilities spotlighting the sweetness of pop culture when it came to beauty, A glam squad. A collaboration, a collection just for her. A personal hair artist by your side producing styles, you feel your best.  Today, my love for beauty stretches across many platforms, a love for travel, culture, fashion, interiors, landscapes, a life stacked with magical moments. My passion for hairstyling has multiplied and it truly is the best gift to be alongside A bride.

It truly is the best.
